The Muslim Traveler in Kerala: How Was My Experience

My Kerala Trip And We Were Visiting Kerala for the 1st Time

Hello everyone, welcome to our Travel Memories. How are you all? I hope all of you are doing well. Today, we are very excited to share something from our travel memories and talk about our Kerala Trip. Today, we are also here to announce something very special for you guys too. So, are you excited to see what we bring from our travel memories? Let’s get started! Stay tuned till the end of this post for a special announcement.

In this blog, we are going to share our first travel memories from 2018. I know that’s not so recent, but here we share travel memories from both the past and present. So, here is the first one.

We were traveling to Kerala with more than 8 members in a group, but in those days I was not a blogger or travel guide and did not think about sharing travel-related information or updates. We also planned to travel in 2020 via Karnataka and capture some awesome memories.

You might be wondering why we were traveling. Basically, we were visiting for our projects and work. We traveled to different destinations in Kerala. Some went to Kochi, others to Kannur, and I was in Kozhikode city. We planned to visit Kozhikode city, its beaches, and other places. That’s how we decided to visit Kozhikode city. The views that show Kerala’s beauty are stunning.

What We Found on Our Kerala Trip

So, my dear friends, the first thing we noticed is that all South Indian cities are amazing when it comes to traveling and exploring. South India has a lot of beautiful beaches, lovely people with South Indian cultural lungis, and the most amazing food. There are a lot of other things that remind me of Kerala every time, like the speedy buses and clean street roads near the beaches.

Something About Kozhikode, Kerala

Here’s what we found in short detail from Wikipedia: ‘Kozhikode, also known as Calicut, is an Indian city, the second-largest urban agglomeration in the State of Kerala, and the 20th largest in the country with a population of 2 million as of the 2011 report.’ As you know, any trip without friends is not complete, so we decided to visit Kozhikode city first and the popular Kozhikode beaches. Luckily, we visited all the places we had listed.

City Tour with Friends

We also visited a very small science city in Kozhikode, which was wonderful. We loved its 3D science cinema, about 15 minutes long, in a circular room where we felt like we were traveling through the galaxy to other planets. That was my choice to visit in Kozhikode, and it cost about $1 to see everything.

Visiting Beypore Beach

We also visited Beypore Port & Beach, the best place we visited in Kozhikode. We enjoyed the sunset view and had a lot of fun there. We bought some snacks from the shops, like mango slices. We also had a short conversation with some South Indian locals while capturing images, and they were amazing to talk to.

Kozhikode is Amazing for Shopping

We went to a shopping mall called Jayalakshmi where we bought some South Indian lungis and other items. We also visited the Mananchira market to buy other things, and the overall shopping experience was great.

A Perfect Photo of My Life

While visiting the city and local places, I captured some memories and took pictures without thinking much about them. One day, I was checking my travel memories and found an image on my phone where I was sitting at a local bus stand with a wall painting of Swami Vivekananda behind me. That was a moment I realized was one of my best travel memories.

The City Tour is Over; Now Time to Enjoy the Kerala Trip with More Things

As I mentioned, we were visiting Kerala for work and projects, not just for a trip. After visiting Kozhikode city and its other places like Mananchira Park and taking a city tour, I went to a small city called Kuttiady to do my own work. I visited some local places and villages, met some wonderful people, and saw another side of Kerala.

Kolatta Lake, a Small Lake Near Kuttiady in Kayakkodi

This is an amazing place with an incredible natural sunrise view. I felt very lucky to visit this small town, spending more than 15 days there for my work. I was very happy with the people I met in this tiny village in Kerala. Special thanks to Abdus Salam SK for helping and guiding me.

My Final Thoughts About Our Kerala Trip

In conclusion, this was a very good trip for work and enjoyment with friends. We are now feeling much better after visiting a beautiful city, and we are planning to go for a long trip to Kerala again and visit other districts. I suggest you visit Kerala and its beautiful beaches. So, go visit South India and enjoy your days. I found Kerala a good place to visit, and I’ll visit it again very soon.
